It just dawned on me that I probably should be changing the spelling from British English to American English before uploading. This is something that 2005-2007 me clearly, stubbornly, refused to do (hence why the book is written as it is), but 2013 me actually thinks is a good idea considering the book's, y'know, full of Americans. I know I said 'warts in all their hairiness' and all that, but I think this one particular strand should be plucked.
